Complete guide to setting up and running the AI Bulk Image Editor.
Getting Started
1. Installation
Install the AI Bulk Product Editor or AI Image SEO Optimizer app directly from the Shopify App Store. Once installed, the app will appear in your Shopify Admin dashboard under the Apps menu. No coding or theme modifications are required.
2. Connecting Your Store
When you open either app for the first time, it automatically syncs with your Shopify store data. We instantly pull a list of all your products and their associated media files so you can start optimizing right away.
AI Bulk Product Editor
Using the Dashboard
The Product Editor dashboard gives you a powerful grid view of all your products. You can filter by collection, tags, or SEO status to find exactly what needs editing.
Bulk Editing and AI Generation
Select multiple products and choose an AI action. You can instruct the AI to rewrite descriptions, generate SEO titles, or create meta tags. You can preview the AI output before applying changes to your live store.
AI Image SEO Optimizer
Image Optimization
The Image Optimizer automatically compresses your images into WebP format for faster page loading. You can choose to process images manually or run a bulk background job for the entire catalog.
Alt Text and File Renaming
By default, the AI will generate descriptive alt text based on the visual contents of the image and the product title. You can also enable file renaming to change obscure filenames to SEO-friendly names.
Troubleshooting
Missing Permissions
If the app fails to update a product or an image, ensure you have not revoked the necessary product management permissions. You can re-authorize the app from the Shopify App settings.
Optimization Taking Too Long
Bulk optimizations on stores with thousands of products can take several hours depending on server load and API limits. Rest assured, the background queue manages rate limits automatically to prevent errors.
